The course is specifically designed for mobile EU citizens and aims to prepare them for active participation in local and European elections. It covers voting and application rights as well as useful tips to encourage voter engagement.

Why join the course?
As an EU citizen, you have important political rights that allow you to vote and stand as a candidate in elections in the country where you live. However, many people are not familiar with how these rights work. This course provides clear guidance and practical advice on taking part in elections at both local and European level.

The course is divided into two modules:
- Political participation in local elections - looks at the rights of mobile EU citizens to vote and stand as candidates in local elections.
- Political Participation in European Parliament Elections - explains the process of participating in these elections and the rights involved.
The course is led by two experienced experts, Claire Moreau-Sire, EU Rights Manager at ECAS, and Marta Azevedo Silva, Communications Manager at ECAS, who will guide you towards successfully exercising your political rights.
