And many people sense these trends and are beginning to shift to new professions that are expected to be increasingly in demand in the near future - the professions of the future. And unfortunately, there is also the reverse effect – some professions and jobs may disappear in the coming years.

Without a doubt, all specialists in this field are at the top of the list of the most sought-after people for future jobs. And that is understandable given the rapid pace of technological development. They are already part of almost every small or large business, and the need for such specialists is constantly growing, and more and more companies that previously did not have such a position are actively looking to hire qualified IT professionals.

The most sought-after profession in this field will be software engineers/developers. According to many studies, they are at the top of the rankings for the most in-demand professions of the future. It is not surprising that the compensation for this work is among the highest in the world.

Mobile app developers are also increasingly in demand. Given that the use of mobile applications for business purposes and reaching customers is increasing, it is quite logical to assume that mobile app developers will also become an increasingly attractive and sought-after profession in the coming years.

We cannot ignore the words of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg: „I think that in the future everyone, not only programmers, will be connected with programming elements.“ It is worth at least considering whether it is time to improve our IT knowledge and skills in view of their growing demand and need in the future. There is no point in saying that these are professions that cannot disappear in the future and will continue to develop. Yes, technology is also developing in this field, and everyone working in it will need to be familiar with the latest inventions and how to use them.

Every business, whether small or large, works with money. In larger companies, financial managers are appointed to be responsible for this part of the business. They monitor the organization's income and expenses, look for ways to optimize profit and reduce costs. Since money continues to be the primary medium of exchange, people will continue to be needed in companies to manage it and help achieve the organization's financial goals.

Personal trainers, sports therapists, yoga instructors, nutritionists

Sport and healthy eating are becoming a trend for the new generation and beyond. Today it is assumed that every self-respecting person should take care of their body and lead a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, we can boldly assume that in the future all consultants on healthy living, such as trainers, dietitians, yoga instructors, will be increasingly in demand. We will need personal trainers to prepare the right exercises for us, sports therapists to relieve tense muscles, nutritionists to tell us what protein shakes to drink so that we are in good shape. And here there is a new trend that emerged during the pandemic and lockdowns - many trainings and consultations can now be done online, which is an additional convenience for clients.

Psychologists, personal development coaches, human resources specialists

The stressful pace of life has led to the demand for a profession that was not so popular in the past, namely the psychologist. More and more people seek help from a psychology specialist to cope with stress in everyday life, with problems at work and in relationships, and to feel calmer and more confident in themselves. In recent years, much has been said about the importance of mental health for a person's ability to work and their life satisfaction. Psychologists now work in schools, as well as in larger companies, in service of employees to overcome problems at work and stay motivated.

Also as a result of the search for ways to overcome stress and find balance in life, a new profession has emerged – personal development coach or „life coach“. Their job is to help people discover what is missing for them to feel happy and fulfilled, motivate them to overcome their fears, and inspire them to achieve their dreams and goals. Many of these coaches also organize seminars where they share their knowledge and motivate a large group of people. Here too the pandemic contributed to the use of so-called webinars instead of live personal development seminars.

For several years now, every larger company has had a „Human Resources“ department that takes care of managing people by dealing with various aspects of work such as labor law and workplace standards, administering employee compensation, and also actively participating in selecting and hiring staff. The new responsibilities of human resources specialists include helping employees develop from entry level to senior employees, offering training opportunities, and guiding them toward the professional development that is right for them within the company. In the future, due to technological development, the role of HR will also be connected to which tasks and positions can be automated.

Cybersecurity specialists

According to many sources, there is a global shortage of cybersecurity specialists, and companies and organizations increasingly need such a position. The reason for this is the increasingly frequent hacker attacks and the extortions that follow such an attack. So this profession will definitely be one of the most sought-after in the future.

Influencer

This is a relatively new profession that is becoming very popular and used for advertising on social networks. Many brands already prefer to work with them because they have the ability to create trends and influence the purchasing decisions of their followers. Whether they can replace models and product advertising campaigns remains to be seen.

Veterinarians

An increasing share of households have pets. Therefore, it is logical that people will need someone to care for the health of their beloved animals and treat them when necessary. Thus, veterinarians will become increasingly sought after and necessary for people and their pets.

Marketing specialists

Creativity, original ideas, and innovative thinking are qualities that will be highly valued in the future as well. One of the professions of the future in this field is media remixer. This is a person who mixes and combines various means of information to create one-of-a-kind products or experiences. These means combine video, audio, images, and augmented reality materials to create marketing campaigns, educational tools, wedding montages, entertainment, and unique experiences. A media remixer is someone who is very creative, curious, motivated, and enterprising. They may have previous experience in some creative fields such as art history or music education. - Digital currency experts – Bitcoin is increasingly gaining ground, and experts who understand these currencies will become much sought after in the future.

- Artificial intelligence specialists – robots may not be only heroes in science fiction films, but may become part of people's lives. Of course, specialists will be needed who know how to manage and configure them so that they are useful to people.

- Gamifier – will create games for easier learning of knowledge, trainings, lessons.

Changes in our world are happening at a rapid pace and are extremely dynamic. Unfortunately, as a result of new changes and environmental requirements, there are professions that are very likely to disappear in the future.

In conclusion, in our opinion the biggest trend for the professions of the future is that a larger share of them will be able to be performed online from anywhere in the world, as long as you have a computer and internet access.

Many professions will have flexible working hours, with employers valuing work results more than hours worked.

And let us not forget that the future is never known and what we suppose may happen or may not happen. Perhaps the most important thing for work in the future will be for everyone to do what they love and what they are good at. We are sure the future will offer many opportunities for that.
