Stages of negotiations
Before you start the negotiations, you need to decide where and when the meeting to discuss the problem will take place, and who will attend it.
During this stage, all parties involved in the negotiation present the problem as they see it - i.e. describe their own understanding of the situation.
- Clarification of objectives.
After the discussion stage, you should be able to clarify the objectives, interests and perspectives of all parties to the conflict.
- Actual negotiations.
This stage focuses on achieving a win-win outcome. They should feel that they have won and that their point of view has been taken into account.
You can only come to an agreement if you have first understood the views of all parties and discussed their interests in detail.
Once you have reached an agreement, you must ensure that the defined course of action is implemented.
How is the training passed?
Each trainee receives a personal account to access the training. It is completed online, at a time and place convenient to the user. The only things needed are a computer/laptop and internet access.
